- Real-time operating system support: Platform for Automotive Devices is based on the industry-leading VxWorks operating system. VxWorks offers process and standards support, advanced memory protection, configurable error management, local GUI implementation through Wind River Media Library, increased POSIX compliance, and TIPC. Symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) support is now available for all VxWorks 6.6-based platforms through the VxWorks 6.6 SMP optional add-on product.
