FedProxy

Federation Object Model (FOM) or Simulation Object Model (SOM) is fast and easy with FedProxy?. FedProxy, part of the integrated HLA Lab Works product suite, is a powerful tool designed specifically for HLA that helps you test and integrate your simulations faster. FedProxy supports system integration by acting as a stand-in for missing federation members by reading your Federation Object Model or Simulation Object Model and instantly becoming a working federation member.

Use FedProxy to create instances of objects, update attributes, and send interactions via the RTI ¡ª all under your direction. FedProxy also subscribes to and logs the activities of all federates involved in your simulation.

Integrated development environment
The FedProxy environment is ideal for working with all aspects of creating and executing your federate. Easy to use windows guide you through project creation, declaration management, and event scheduling. Transition seamlessly from code editing, compilation, and execution without ever leaving the FedProxy environment.

Interactively update attributes and initiate interactions
Interactively update object attributes or initiate interactions with the Event Editor. The Event Editor uses object model datatype specifications to present type-safe data entry fields. This ensures that event data will always adhere to the FOM specification. Use the Event Editor to initialize a project or to edit events at any point during runtime.

Supports all HLA time management schemes
FedProxy takes full advantage of the RTI¡¯s flexibility in managing and synchronizing time. You can create a federate that runs under any of the four time regulated/con- strained combinations. You can also specify real-time or as-fast-as-possible execution, control over simulation start and stop times, and other timing control options. With FedProxy¡¯s two distinct internal simulation engines, you can specify whether you want your simulation to be time-stepped or event driven, providing the ability to emulate virtually any simulation¡¯s HLA interface.

Application Programming Interface (API) for advanced users
If you are familiar with Java programming, you can customize FedProxy-generated code to add truly reactive behavior to federates. FedProxy provides an API to its simulation services that you can use to add new levels of functionality to your simulations.
